A Symphony of Success: The First FPS All-City Orchestra Festival
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of the inaugural FPS 5th Grade All-City Orchestra Festival on April 15th, which brought together 144 students from Barbieri, Harmony Grove, Stapleton, and McCarthy as one unified ensemble. The Farley gym was filled with a beautiful sound as these young musicians demonstrated the incredible growth they have made on violin, viola, and cello since the start of the year. Under the direction of orchestra teacher Jack Corbett and guest clinician Walter Pavasaris, students spent the day refining their craft with support from several dedicated music and classroom educators. The event culminated in a moving evening concert at Fuller Middle School where students showcased their professionalism and joy for their families and the community. This achievement was made possible by the collaborative efforts of our school nutrition, transportation, buildings and grounds, and translation departments. We are proud to be part of a community that champions the arts and eagerly anticipate our next major gathering, the first ever 5th Grade Chorus Festival, on June 15th.
