1. What if my child is sick and can't come to school?
Please call the attendance line 508-626-9187 and leave your child's name, their teacher's name and reason for absence. You can also email barattendance@framingham.k12.ma.us

2. What if my child has a change in dismissal plan?
Please call the attendance line 508-626-9187. You can also email barattendance@framingham.k12.ma.us and send a note to school with your child to give to his or her teacher.
3. What if I don't have a bus and I have no way of getting my child to school?
By law, your child is expected to come to school every day unless they are sick and have an excused absence. It is the family and caregiver's responsibility to find a solution to this in order to avoid any further legal consequences. Please contact Department of Transportation for any bus inquires.
4. Can my child eat breakfast for free at school every day?
Yes, breakfast is served starting at 8:50AM. Students are expected to eat quickly and be ready to start the day in the classroom no later than 9:15AM.
5. Can my child eat lunch for free at school every day?
Yes, lunch is free at school. Please refer to the monthly menu on the Framingham Public School Website to see what is being served daily.
6. Should I pack a snack for my child?
Yes, however it is not guaranteed that there will be a separate time during the day to eat their snack. Students may have a working snack which means that the snack you pack can be eaten quickly and cleaned up quickly. Your teacher can provide a list of suggestions if requested.
7. Does my child have recess?
Yes, your child has 30 minutes in their schedule for recess.
8. Why is my child being marked tardy?
Students entering the building after 9:05AM will be marked unexcused tardy. Students arriving BEFORE 9:05AM enter through Door 12. Students arriving AFTER 9:05 must enter through Door 1 with an adult and obtain a tardy pass. There will be traffic on Dudley Road. Please plan accordingly.
9. What if I have any questions regarding curriculum, instruction, and how behavior skills are addressed and taught?
Your first contact should be your child's teacher. Depending on the question or concern, they will then ensure the right staff member addresses your questions and concerns.
10. How is unskilled behavior addressed in the school?
Please refer to the Full Code of Character, Conduct and Support. If you have any questions, please contact the classroom teacher.
